Scribe Content Marketing is a software plugin that runs on the WordPress Self-Hosted platform. I have been working with Scribe on a variety of websites for just over a year now. If I had to shorten my review to two words, I would say “Scribe Rocks”.
For this review, I set up and designed a test environment using Scribe Content Marketing to help design my content. I ran this site for six months and generated well over 30,000 visitors.
To kick this review off, Scribe is a successful product because of the three driving principles it targets for content marketing:
Keyword research is important when creating content, especially when it comes to SEO. Scribe is an amazing product when used to research and identify traffic heavy keywords and keyword phrases.
- Content Optimization
Scribe Content Marketing software works like an all-in-one SEO ninja and super wizard. Scribe analyzes content against fifteen (15) SEO rules to make sure content is optimized to it’s full potential.
- Traffic Generation
Content can only be at it’s best when it’s intended audience can find it. Scribe’s link building engine researches competing websites against the keywords of individual posts. With this research, Scribe identifies opportunities for link sharing and back-link building.
Because of the triple threat design of Scribe Content Marketing software, there is no doubt that it is a powerful and effective approach to content marketing.
Scribe Content Marketing Results
At the end of June 2012, I decided that I wanted to write an in-depth review to show the power of this awesome tool. In the process of setting up the requirements for my review, I decided to make it easy for anyone to follow. Scribe works well no matter if you are a common blogger or an SEO Master Ninja. Here are the guidelines I followed when setting up my test environment:
- Found a competitive, traffic heavy niche.
- Registered a brand new generic domain name. The domain name I registered DID NOT contain any niche keywords I was aiming to target.
- Set up hosting on the GoDaddy economy plan and used the one-click WordPress installation option.
- Installed the Lifestyle Theme from the Genesis Framework. I use Genesis for everything. This is a paid theme framework, but very well worth it. Read my Review Here
- Installed and configured common plugins: Akismet – antiSPAM, JetPack – free, wp-super-cache – free.
- Started writing Scribe optimized content with an average of two posts per week.
Like any new blog, it takes some time to build content and start getting indexed in Google’s search results. The first two months of traffic were negligible and have been omitted from this review. I started realizing some growth in the third month.
07/01 – 07/31: 130 Visitors
08/01 – 08/31: 137 Visitors
09/01 – 09/30: 3,591 Visitors
10/01 – 10/31: 30,747 Visitors
I didn’t have enough room in my image to show total traffic results. The graphic below shows traffic consolidated from 09/08/2012 – 10/31/2012. You notice that on September 8, 2012 I was getting about 23 unique visitors per day on average. By October 31, 2012 you will see that I had 2,458 unique visitors in one day.
Back-link Building with Scribe Content Marketing
To achieve this level of traffic, I focused on a niche set of keywords and simply built a content base by writing an average of two new blog posts per week. In regards to the back-links I built during the test period, here is the breakdown as of 10/29/2012 as measured by ahrefs:
Make Money with Scribe Content Marketing
Please excuse the gimmicky title of this part of my review as I felt the need to share how I recouped my cost. I hosted Google Ads on my test site. Because of the traffic I generated with this experiment, as of 10/29 I generated $222.61 in sweet Google cash as a result of my efforts.
I can’t guarantee the performance or results of using this product as every niche is different as is the work ethic of every individual. This review is based on my own personal results of using this product in the above explained test environment. Individual results may vary.
